Ashley: A lot happened. We did some base development, and we designed and built the space miner.
Misha: It’s time to go to the moon!
Ashley: Yes. We cleaned up a few things, almost crashed the miner catastrophically, almost flipped the space miner on it’s maiden flight, and hopefully have everything in order before we go.
Gwen: Our next mission is to get Tantalum, Uranium and Platinum, but with emphasis on the Tantalum and Platinum.
Ashley: Whew, it’s a tall order, it’s not going to be easy, it’ll be dangerous, but we’re up for it.
…
Ashley: So we left, and almost immediately crashed into an asteroid. On our way we found some platinum, not a lot, but some was on an asteroid… and we realized there were some unfinished parts we need motors to fix. And we forgot to bring spare parts.
We got one side repaired after dismantling a probe, but we’ll have to limp it the rest of the way to the moon, it’s a rear auxiliary thruster so it’s not a big deal.

Gwen: Arrived at the moon and we’re at an orbiting space station. We refueled and sold some spare parts we scavenged from a probe. We’re now set to find our ores. We’re in really good shape and haven’t encountered any resistance.

Ashley: Whew, it’s good, but the layers are really thin. Without these stone dusters, which basically atomize the stone so we don’t have to deal with it, we’d be having a lot of trouble getting anything useful from these mines.
Gwen: I don’t know how much we need, but we can easily afford refueling so we can repeat this as long as we need to get enough ore.
Misha: I think 150k each is a good goal, we can always come back.
Gwen: Heading home!
Ashley: We did it. We have 150k Uranium, Platinum and Tantalum. We made it home with 5% H2 left which is crazy. We’ll put some thrusters on this so we’re not lost completely if we run out of hydrogen.
Misha: It looks like we got way more tantalum than we needed, but probably 50% less platinum then we needed, that’s ok, we’ll get there.
Gwen: This is really exciting, we’re almost there.
Ashley: Our new ship will be insane.
Misha: Now we have a home here too, this is really nice.

Misha: One last trip to the moon to get more platinum.
Gwen: Then we got some gold to finish what we needed for the ship.
Ashley: Now it’s a huge lag to get the parts made, so we’re getting ready to build the ship, but we’ll need a ship to build the ship, a welder. So we grabbed a set of plans we made a long time ago and we’re running with them.
Misha: Time to build again!
