[Captain Gwen] We’ve had a few close calls, like almost pressing the power button instead of the coast button and that would have been a complete disaster. I also kinda accidentally turned off thrusters and almost flipped the miner. Other than that. It’s going slow but steady. We’ve yet to have anyone bother us and we’re filling out our production facility. We have so many refineries now that we run out of ore faster than we can mine it, so that’s probably enough.
We automated the production process so ore, ingots and components will go where they need to go without manual babysitting. We’re concentrating on making ammo first then we’ll go on to the other components.
[Engineer Misha] We’ll soon have 16 refineries and 8 assemblers. That’ll have to do. If it gets too slow toward the end we’ll make more. There seems to be enough power too.
[1st Officer Ashley] It’s been quiet, too quiet. Not a peep from any of the enemy cargo ships overhead. There’s plenty of competition too but most of out competitors seem to be friendly at least.
[Captain Gwen] It’s going to be a very slow grind from here on out. We’re many days away but this is the end game, the final achievement of our long career. If we can pull this off, we’re golden. Do we make a giant ship and transport it all at once, do we attempt to move the material overland? The goal is on this planet, so we don’t even need to fly there. We just need to get there.
We’re going to need platinum and uranium so that’ll require we go to space, asteroids at the very least, likely the moon too. It’s not going to be quick, it’s not going to be easy, space is dangerous, but it looks like we’ll do it. We have access to a nearly inexhaustible supply of ice, plenty of materials and as long as we’re not being attacked, solar and wind too. It’ll just take time.
